The strange side of the box

Bue 2530

The project explores the theme of duality and appearance, drawing inspiration from the famous Danish butter cookie tin, which is often repurposed to store unexpected objects. Here, the tin is shown semi-open, revealing an interior populated by memories and objects that defy easy classification, suspended between what is and what could be. The exterior retains the container's classic stylistic elements, featuring the name “butter cookies” and the title The strange side of the box, yet it introduces a Nordic landscape traversed by a marine creature, a subtle hint of unease.
Drawn in line art by a tattoo artist Simone Bue, the work stages the tension between function, memory, and imagination.

Bue 2530

Born in Calabria in 1984, Bue 2530 developed a strong passion for art from a young age. After completing his studies at the Liceo Artistico (Art High School) of Catanzaro, he entered the world of graffiti, contributing to the growth of the Calabrian urban scene and founding his first crew.
He later moved to Florence, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. Here, he expanded his artistic journey by collaborating with both Italian and international artists, participating in festivals, public art projects, and urban interventions across various cities.
He is the founder of Uovo Studios, a creative space dedicated to street art, graffiti, tattooing, and visual arts. In a short time, the studio has become a key hub for artists from all over Italy and abroad. Through his research and work, Bue 2530 continues to promote urban art and contemporary culture.
