The class includes a theoretical introduction and practical experimentation to acquire a basic knowledge of the ancient artistic technique of scagliola, also known as moonstone.

The class offers:

• Historical notes on the production process and a visit to the collection of antique pieces
• Processing technique, materials and their components
• Preparation of the dough and colored marbling
• Creation of tiles and artefacts using the process of drawing, inlaying, casting, sanding, filling and final polishing

The course registration fee includes:

• Teaching
• English translation service.
• Insurance.
• Logistics assistance.
• Materials and work tools.

Duration of six days as follows:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: Pontassieve Laboratory
A 50% deposit is due upon registration, with the remainder due before the end of the course. The minimum number of participants is four, and the maximum is 6/7.
We reserve the right to cancel a course, with sufficient notice, if the minimum number is not reached.
A refund will be made only if the laboratory is forced to suspend or postpone the course.
